I miss Cowboy Bebop.

Well I was feeling pretty bummed recently because I just finished my run on the first two seasons of Batman: Brave and the Bold. We definitely had a great crew and the overall experience was a lot of fun. So it was kinda sad to see the season wind down. For a few weeks I was wondering what my next job was going to be because I wasn't hearing anything from Warner Brothers. Thankfully the folks at Film Roman invited me to work on the new Avengers series. At first I was worried about the hectic workload, but after drawing the characters a few times, I knew that I couldn't walk away:D Anyways, for fun I drew this picture of the Cap (not the model being used for the series).

This past week I visited my old studio, cartoon network. It got me to thinking about how much fun I had working on the series, Ben 10. I really miss working with all of my good friends over there. Here are 2 more pics of characters that were designed after me. These pics were done by Tom Perkins and Philly B - two totally awesome artists!

First up is me as a lifeguard by Tom Perkins:
Here Philly B designed me as a professional wrestler:
Don't tell anybody but I'm not nearly as buff or studdly lookin in real life:P

More space marines but this time I included a few chaplains. Space marine chaplains always go into battle wearing black power armor and helmets designed to resemble skulls. Chaplains are so intimidating that they're some of my favorite characters in the Warhammer 40k Universe.
My attempt at drawing Conan - nuff said.

Because I know you folks were dying to know just how big a Space Marine is supposed to be :p - I drew up this little size comparison of an Assault Marine and a normal human adult. Ya, Space Marines are pretty big ... and totally awesome!!!
I recently started reading Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn Omnibus. So far it's been a very entertaining read. It inspired me to draw up my own Inquisitor. Haven't come up with a name for him yet. I also threw in his personal bodyguard.
I finally got my scanner working again - yay! So hopefully I'll be updating my blog on a more regular basis. Recently, I've been spending most of my free time training for the upcoming Jiu-Jitsu World Championships (August). The first sketch is a picture of me lying dead tired on the mat after training. The second is me, still exhausted, walking home with my smelly gi. That's hot.
